Within the framework of the mutual cooperation of the Institutes for Standardization in the region, today in Sofia, Republic of Bulgaria, a new Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the director of ISRSM Dzhevat Kicara, and the President of the Board of Directors of the Bulgarian Institute for Standardization (BDS), Mr. Ivelin Burov.
It was also discussed with the executive director of BDS, Mrs. Irene Dobizheva, about future cooperation that will include national standardization activities on both sides, as well as quality infrastructure.
As a national standardization body, BDS represents the Republic of Bulgaria in international and European standardization organizations. It has been a member of ISO since 1955 and of IEC since 1958, and since 2007 it has been a full member of CEN and CENELEC.
As the national standardization body of the Republic of North Macedonia, ISRSM has been a full member of ISO since 1995 and of CEN and CENELEC since 2012.
By signing Memorandums of Cooperation with other institutes in the region, ISRSM contributes to strengthening the existing cooperation, joint work and technical support in the field of standardization.
