World Standards Day is a time to recognize the joint efforts of the thousands of experts around the world who develop the voluntary technical agreements that are published as International Standards.

Held every year on October 14,

World Standards Day (WSD) offers an opportunity to raise awareness and increase understanding of the importance of standardization.

It is a joint initiative of the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), which each year develop elements of the campaign to strengthen the global community in joining the movement.

We want a world that is better, fairer and more sustainable. A world that can be enjoyed today and protected for future generations.

Each SDG is a call to action, but we can only get there if we work together. International standards offer practical solutions that we can all stand behind and invest in.
